This is a moment from a two hour long masterclass (11.11.2025) on Tres Piezas Españolas by Joaquin Rodrigo - a beloved piece by one of his most beloved composers. As the last even of his Farewell Tour, Pepe delivered his last ever recital in London, at the St Mary-le-Strand Church. Myself, Gus McQuade (@gusmcquade), Gonçalo Maia Caetano (@goncalomaiacaetano), Kacper Dworniczak (@kacperguit), Petar Jovanović (@petar.guitar) and Dorian Voinea (@dorian.voinea0) played together with him for the last 4 pieces of the programme of that concert. An honour we will never forget, and one we shall forever cherish. Pepe was invited to the Royal Academy of Music, to teach a masterclass and present his latest book - “Dialogues on a Life’s Journey with the Guitar.“ I have dreamt of playing for Maestro Romero since I was a kid, watching and listening to his recordings, and attending Los Romeros’ concert in Bulgaria in 2010. A dream came true and I’m honoured to have played a small part in the story of this exceptional human being. The most important lesson we all learned from him - have Love in your heart for everything and for all, and you will be blessed with a long, meaningful, happy life.
